The Blue Star Brewing Company is THE home of Big Band Jazz in San Antonio.

Every Tuesday, 2nd Monday and 2nd Wednesday evenings from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM San Antonio's finest musicians gather to perform big band jazz arrangements from the libraries of Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, and even Glen Miller. • 1st Tuesday, the Crimson Jazz Orchestra is led by George Briscoe.
• 2nd Tuesday, the River City Big Band, led by baritone saxophonist and MD Merritt "Murph" Davis.
• 3rd Tuesday, the San Antonio Jazz Orchestra performs, co-led by George DeRocher, Rick Horn and Dale Schultz.
• 4th Tuesday, the Primetime Jazz Orchestra, led by saxophonist and world traveler John Magaldi
• 5th Tuesday, the Lamplighters, led by saxophone soloist Bill Holman.
