JAZZ PIANIST NOBUKO TO GIVE FAREWELL PERFORMANCE

Nobuko, an accomplished and renowned jazz pianist, has delighted fans in the San Antonio area since she moved here from Japan in the Autumn of 1976. This September, Nobuko is moving back to her homeland in Japan, and she is giving a farewell performance on Sunday, September 5 from noon to 3 p.m. in the banquet room at Blue Star Brewing Company.
The performance will feature the jazz trio of Nobuko on grand piano, Joel Dilley on upright bass, and Darren Kuper on drums. Also performing will be numerous San Antonio jazz musicians who will be in attendance to play with Nobuko once more before she departs for Kumamoto, Japan.
The Blue Star Brewing Company will serve from its new brunch menu as well as the complete lunch menu, along with its award-winning selection of handmade lagers and ales, a complete wine list, and craft sodas. There is no cover charge for the Nobuko farewell performance, and parking is free.
The event is co-sponsored by the Blue Star Brewing Company, Japan America Society of San Antonio (JASSA) and KRTU 91.7 FM.
